M&A Integration Lead
The M&A Integration Lead is responsible for managing the integration workstream and works closely and collaboratively with Talent & Culture business leads, Finance & Operations, legal teams, regional counterparts, and private equity partners to ensure a positively impactful team member experience and retain key talent throughout due diligence and the M&A lifecycle. The successful candidate has a background in global M&A, due diligence, solution-building, project management, communication planning, integration, establishing stakeholder buy-in, influencing decision-making, and implementing collaborative and meaningful change. The ideal candidate is someone who questions the status quo and uses data, cultural insights, and strategic visioning to provide recommendations for engagement, generate ambassadors, deploy world-class experiences, and spearhead continuous improvement.
As the key owner of HR M&A, responsibilities include leading the planning and implementation of all acquisition activities related to the integration of people:
- Drive HR diligence pre-acquisitions and serve as the point of contact on integration activities for M&A deals
- Level and job title mapping
- Total rewards and policy alignment
- Transition to Bounteous HRIS, payroll (in partnership with Finance & Operations), and benefits planning and implementation
- Deploy change management and communication plans with stakeholders
- Onboard activities including offers, transition letters, background verifications, and work authorizations as needed
- Partner with Talent & Culture leads to deploy Bounteous orientation programming to newly acquired teams and two-way learning programs to all Bounteous team members
- Manage risks and issues that pose a challenge to the integration execution and adjust integration strategy as necessary
- Lead global mobility and immigration efforts
- Develop people-standard methodologies on M&A processes including benchmarking with other companies, soliciting feedback, and driving action to improve
- Develop a people-operations playbook and process plans for due diligence and integration, ensuring data and process dependencies with downstream systems and reporting are led effectively
- Lead effort on reporting and analytics based on organization needs and drive insights for people-dashboards and HRIS data
- Deliver an exceptional transition experience for all team members coming from acquired companies and manage the post-integration handoff
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years working in the global M&A space
- Private Equity knowledge a plus
- Working knowledge across HR functions and operations including talent management, compensation, benefits, HR systems, talent acquisition, mobility, immigration, policies, laws, and regulations
- Leading or participating in M&A deals in complex environments
- Driving cross-functional global projects independently and collaboratively
- Serving as a strategic thought leader
- Standardizing integration processes and documenting for future usage
- Working professionally and discreetly with extremely confidential information
- Dealing with ambiguity at all times and understanding and reacting quickly to changing priorities, even when all the information is not available
- Performing in fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems
- Ability to work and travel internationally, with a broad understanding of country, cultural, and business nuances
- Bachelor’s degree
