As a part of our HR team, you will partner with HRBPs, COEs and employees to support the growth and change that we see every single day at Groupon. The Manager, HR Operations is responsible for establishing and leading HR operations within select regions that we operate. As a member of the Global HR Operations team, this person will partner with other Shared Service Leaders in EMEA and APAC to establish best practices and policies across all regions.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all internal HR matters, including employee questions, support with Workday, HR policy guidance, support hiring and onboarding programs questions and do the myriad of things that can support productivity across the board.

You’ll spend time on the following:
- Overall responsibility for management of regional HR Shared Service Center operations for North America
- Possess a broad knowledge of the HR Shared Services Center processes, tools and service level agreements along with the company’s HR policies and service model
- Manage and report on the overall productivity and performance of the HR SSCs to regional SLAs/KPIs. Identify trends and areas of enhancement.
- Responsible for hiring, training, coaching and motivating HR SSC team by setting performance expectations and providing regular performance feedback
- Partner with Local HR leadership & COEs to drive effective/efficient HR services with an optimal balance among cost, efficiency and service delivery
- Lead collaboration activities related to the centralization of HR operations across the region with key stakeholders (Finance, Audit, Legal, Information Technology, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Marketing Communications, etc.)
- Lead cross functional efforts with HRIS, Finance, Legal and the business to implement and enforce global HR policies across the Region
- Continue to provide support for employee and manager self-service, providing training and organizational readiness
- Manage day-to-day relationships with unemployment, background screening and employment verifications vendors
- Lead and/or participate in the planning and execution of special projects, as requested
- Act as project manager for key projects such as a standardized reporting, HRBP best practices tools, coordination of termination rounds, etc.

Specifically: Lead efforts to continually standardize HR processes across the NAM organization; provide input into the broader HR Operations strategy; creates an environment of continuous improvement and innovation; thinks creatively and provides innovative suggestions
We’re excited about you if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2+ years HR experience, specficially HR Operations required, preferably in a high-volume environment with 1-2 years of people management experience
You're adaptable and can think on your feet; when faced with new challenges or tough conversations, you face them head-on
You know how to implement HR strategy that supports company objectives
Evidence of successfully leading others to meet and exceed measurable expectations
You're passionate about delivering the customer experience even in ambiguous, dynamic environments
You should have experience building, maintaining, and activating strong partnerships with direct reports, peers, leaders, and key partner
- Proficient experience with HRIS systems, specifically Workday, required
- Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Calendar, Sheets, Mail)
- You have a passion for the experience you provide your customers - and can diffuse even high-tension situations with ease
- You know that the details matter and a demonstrable ability to multitask
- Ability to be an effective leader and interact effectively with leadership across various functions
- Strong project management and change management skills and experience
- Highly skilled in analyzing problems and providing direction
