Role Description:
This role ensures a smooth, consistent, and engaging experience for all new hires. This is accomplished through coordinating all aspects of Oak Street's new hire programs. This role requires high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to identify opportunities to streamline or improve existing processes.
Core Responsibilities:
Oversees and administers all pre-hire communications with new hires once an offer has been accepted
Coordinates day 1 orientation activities for bi-weekly new hire cohorts
Partners with HR business partners to confirm facilitator availability for day 1 orientation
Liaises with IT to ensure all required equipment has been issued as well as access to relevant apps and programs
Communicates with hiring managers about new hire start dates and scheduling for the first week; provides managers with a new hire toolkit (e.g., onboarding checklist, 30-60 day check-in guide)
Follows up with new hires to ensure completion of required new hire tasks (e.g., I9 documentation, Workday set-up, ID badging)
Proactively identifies ways to streamline, automate, or otherwise enhance new hire orientation and onboarding processes
Analyzes new hire survey data to evaluate onboarding outcomes and effectiveness, identify gaps, and provide insights to drive improvements

What are we looking for?
We're looking for motivated professionals with:
At least 1-2 years of experience within a Human Resources coordinator or intern role
Strong understanding and/or direct experience with new hire orientation / employee onboarding programs and processes
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
Strong collaborator who enjoys learning different functions and how they come together to create an unmatched new hire experience
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to write formal organizational communications
Independent worker who can self-start projects
US work authorization
