Neighborhoods.com is seeking a People Operations Generalist to manage day-to-day administration of People Operations programs, including but not limited to: benefits, employee life cycle, employee recognition, hiring processes, and training/facilitation. This role will report directly to the VP of People Operations and work both independently and closely with managers and employees across the organization. They will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of homebuyers across the country, by supporting the team members who make our products and services great. 

What you’ll be doing as our People Operations Generalist:

  • Improve, develop, and implement processes for each stage of the employee life cycle, like new hire onboarding, employee engagement, and offboarding.
  • Facilitate development conversations and trainings.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as recommended best practices. Support employees and managers with various HR-related topics such as leaves, compensation, etc.
  • Recruit and interview candidates. Strategize with hiring managers regarding structured hiring processes. 
  • Effectively communicate the Neighborhoods.com employer value proposition to candidates and current employees. 
  • Help with the development and implementation of People Operations planning, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of HR or People experience, including dedicated recruiting experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Administration skills in Greenhouse or other modern ATS.
  • Benefits administration knowledge, including regulatory compliance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or other HRIS
  • Growth or tech company experience
  • Residency within Chicagoland
