About the position

As a People Operations Specialist/Coordinator, you are a member of a global People team and support the US people operations team. The People team’s mission is to deliver a great employee experience to all Showpad employees and we constantly push ourselves to provide top-class results. As the People Operations team, we make sure that a Showpad employee should never lose any sleep over any HR matter. 

The ideal candidate to join our team is motivated, detail-oriented, enjoys working with data, is looking to develop themselves at a high-growth company whilst supporting a key part of an operational engine.

Key responsibilities as a People Operations Specialist at Showpad

  • Work closely within the People team to deliver a smooth onboarding & offboarding experience to Showpad employees
  • Perform data entry and payroll preparation for 150+ US-based employees, as well as handle month end and year end payroll and tax reporting requirements
  • Coordinate and assist with compliance reporting requirements and annual audits including but not limited to: FMLA, ADA, Short-term and Long-term Disability claims, EEO, ACA, 401k Audit, Worker’s Compensation Audit, etc..
  • Maintain employee records and ensure they are kept accurate and up-to-date
  • Maintain the HRIS (Workday)  ensuring employee changes and information are up to date and accurate
  • Preparation and execute People documents through Docusign
  • Complete employment verifications for current and former employees
  • Prepare general Ad Hoc (payroll/benefits) reports
  • Field basic employee questions related to benefits and compensation
  • Cooperate with internal stakeholders like Accounting team (benefits invoices, payroll taxes and invoices) and IT Operations (Employee Onboarding / Offboarding)

Required Skills for a People Operations Specialist at Showpad

  • 2-5 years of experience as an HR specialist or equivalent, of which min. 1-2 years of experience in a payroll function including preparation, balancing, year-end reporting, and payroll taxes
  • General Excel, MS Suite and Google platform (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) knowledge
  • Understanding of basic payroll processing guidelines (FLSA, overtime, etc)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  where setting priorities is key
  • Strong team player with a high level of organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Bonus Points 

  • The ability to think out of the box and help us further increasing employee experience
  • 1-2 years of HRIS (Workday) experience
  • Experience with ADP payroll
  • Bachelor’s Degree
