About this role

As we set out to achieve our ambitious goals, we need to hire the best talent and create the conditions for our employees to thrive. As Screencastify’s first-ever People Ops Coordinator, you’ll champion our inclusive and collaborative culture, and have the opportunity to support and own various People team projects and initiatives. This role is critical to the success of Screencastify over the next 18 months while we build and retain the team that is transforming video in the classroom.

What you'll do:

• Create a positive and memorable experience for all of our candidates. You will conduct phone screens, help schedule interviews, and collect + organize feedback from interviewers.
• Work with hiring teams to identify opportunities to improve hiring processes and the candidate experience, with an emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion. You will also track hiring metrics like time-to-fill, time-to-hire, and diversity data to ensure we’re on track to meet goals.
• Post jobs to our careers page and cross-post on different job boards and hiring platforms.
• Help order equipment for new employees and support them from their journey from “offer accepted” to “Day 1” and beyond. This will include managing our Buddy system for all new hires, and coordinating welcome cards and swag boxes to be sent.
• Support the People Ops Manager with employee engagement initiatives like company retreats, events, and celebrations.
• Work on administrative tasks related to performance reviews, compliance, benefits, and compensation.
• Assist in managing Screencastify’s office, located at 333 N Green St Chicago, IL 60607. This includes: vendor management, registering guests, coordinating access badges for new employees, and working with building staff to resolve issues that may arise. You will not be required to be in the office every day and you won’t have to do the dishes or take out the trash. 😉

You're perfect for this role if you:

• You have 1-2 years experience working in People Ops / HR or an administrative function
• You’re passionate about employee experience and/or recruiting, and want to jumpstart your career in People Ops / HR or Recruiting
• You’re well organized and able to balance multiple priorities at once
• You’re curious, empathetic, and kind
