Position Overview:
This is a highly visible role will partner with key sales leaders to attract and deliver some of the best sales talent to Echo Global Logistics. You will proactively recruit, source, and screen prospective candidates for our largest business unit. You will support recruiting efforts across various offices locations, and work closely with leadership to improve the diversity of our candidate pools. You will work closely with potential employees to understand their desire to explore new opportunities and successfully match and secure their interest in an opportunity to join the Echo team.
General Responsibilities:

  • Candidate sourcing and pipeline development.
  • Assess candidate skills and traits through behavioral based interviewing and assessments.
  • Effectively manage and deliver on commitments in high volume recruitment environment.
  • Participate in campus and diversity recruitment efforts.
  • Engage and retain candidate throughout the recruiting experience.
  • Create and present candidate offers.
  • Work in conjunction with HR and training staff to ensure effective new hire onboarding.
  • Establish strong working relationship with department leaders.
  • Contribute to building a memorable candidate experience and strong employment brand.


Duties:
Perform all day-to-day activities necessary to ensure that open positions are filled with highly qualified diverse candidates in a timely manner.

  • Understand job requirements and role to ensure best match candidates are presented to hiring leaders.
  • Provide guidance and insight on candidate market and solutions to improve recruiting efforts and ultimately hire the best talent.
  • Creatively source prospective candidates to create interest in working for Echo Global Logistics.
  • Conduct phone interviews to understand candidate needs and motivators, skills, and experience to match them to the right sales opportunities.
  • Assess past experience, communication skills and technical knowledge.
  • Describe the scope of work the candidate is applying to, an overview of the company and the larger landscape of the logistics industry.
  • Schedule candidates for interviews, office tours, and shadowing sessions to provide candidates with comprehensive view into the company culture and the role.
  • Manage recruiting process, candidate correspondences, talent pipelines in applicant tracking system (ATS)


Requirements:

  • Prior recruiting experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to connect and build strong relationships.
  • Task master with ability to balance and manage competing priorities and tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative, resourceful, and opportunistic.
  • Solution oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and team work.
  • Customer centric and action oriented.
  • Ability to sell and influence across various stakeholders.
  • Strong verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Enjoys and thrives in fast-paced, fluid work environment.
  • BA/BS Degree in business or related field.


Position can be based out of one of our many offices across the U.S. (Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Detroit, Atlanta, or Scottsdale) or can be remote.
Work environment/physical demands summary:
This job operates in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office with an open seating floor plan. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the work day. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
