As a relatively new division of OneMain Financial, we operate with the agility of a startup and the financial backing of one of the nation’s largest personal loan lenders.

 

 

 

  • Work collaboratively with hiring managers at assigned levels from various departments within OneMain to develop recruiting strategies to meet business needs such as university relations strategy, intern strategy, search assignments etc.
  • Create an annual proactive recruiting plan for assigned client areas.
  • Research, recommend and implement new and innovative recruiting avenues for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Develop ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies for immediate needs and future talent pipelining.
  • Review internal succession plans for role and share any potential candidates as part of the recruiting process. 
  • Fill open positions effectively and efficiently, within defined Service Level metrics.
  • Clearly articulate and “sell” OneMain's Employment Value Proposition to candidates and external parties, including culture, business strategies, talent management and organizational/team structure, and reward offering to increase awareness and interest in OneMain’s opportunities.
  • Leverage online recruiting resources, such as niche job boards, associations, LinkedIn, and ATS to identify and recruit the very best candidates.
  • Prescreen candidates, review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements. Leverage expertise in and recommend/design appropriate selection methods (for example OneMain’s Interviewing Guides) for each campaign to ensure a robust, effective and efficient process.
  • Coach hiring manager and interviewers/assessors on appropriate selection method best practice, methodology and practical use of, to ensure consistencies and high quality execution throughout the interview process.
  • Regular and timely management and communication of candidates and hiring managers to keep them proactively informed via email and/or phone, and to ensure a quality Candidate / Client experience.
  • Manages candidate through the entire life cycle of the recruiting process.
  • Collaborates with hiring manager and Compensation (if applicable) to create and deliver a comprehensive, appropriate and balanced offer, in line with agreed guidelines.
  • Differentiates OneMain's offer from other competing offers. (i.e. sells offer fit)
  • Delivers highly persuasive communications with high potential candidates using all effective mediums
  • Collaborates across the HR/organization value chain to maximize candidate satisfaction (e.g. compensation, benefits package, relocations, immigration etc.)
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations in market, as relates to talent acquisition practices.

Location

Located on the corner of Wacker and Monroe, our office is great for any commute. We’re only a few blocks from the Quincy and Washington/Wells L stops.
