Home Chef is looking to hire a Senior Manager, Employee Benefits to join our growing company!
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Benefits:
- Manage the administration of all health and welfare programs including but not limited to Medical (both fully insured and self-funded)l, Dental, Vision and Ancillary group benefits.
- Own Home Chef’s benefits renewal, new hire and open enrollment and life event processes.
- Oversee the organization's vendor/carrier relationships for delivery of benefits. Including the brokerage of benefits, 401k and insurance carriers.
- Manage the in-house administration of the Leave of Absence process for all employee groups.
- Provide strategic recommendations and own the RFP process for changes to benefits, evaluate new programs, carriers, vendors or partners.
- Benchmark Home Chef’s employee benefit offerings against external market offerings and conduct internal research to ensure the appropriate rewards mix is in place for talent attraction and retention.
- Partner with other HR team members and business leaders to ensure efficient management of employee leaves and to lead change management on benefit initiatives.
- Compliance:
- Lead the 5500-reporting process for health and welfare and 401k.
- Partner with Finance to ensure completion of the annual 401k audit.
- Ensure leave of absence administration is managed in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws such as FMLA and the ADA.
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or other characteristics needed for this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.
- At least 7 years’ experience administering and managing employee benefits programs such as health, dental and vision insurance and 401k programs.
- Knowledge governing law in compensation and benefits such as the ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and FLSA.
- Ability to apply systems thinking to total rewards and human resources, spotting trends or issues in data, offerings and audits.
- Proven ability to partner with other functions of Human Resources or business stakeholders at all levels to design employee benefits solutions or policies that enhance the employment experience.
- Ability to pivot quickly and adjust your approach in a fast-growing organization. HR certification like CEBS, CBP, CCP or PHR a plus.
- Completion of 4-year degree.
