Within Human Resources, the HR Systems and Operations Engineering team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive experience for stakeholders interfacing with HR technology and processes at scale. Leading with care and empathy, the team develops and implements efficient and simple people processes and systems to enhance the experience of Relativians.

 

The Senior Manager will architect and lead our people technology and operations; enabling process transformation and continuous improvement, overseeing system governance, developing program and system roadmaps, and driving stakeholder engagement and change management.

 

The Senior Manager plays an active role in designing system solutions for HR and the business; questions common assumptions, rethinks existing approaches and sees every challenge as an opportunity for improvement. This role is both strategic and execution focused, with an eye on the big picture from a user experience, technology and business standpoint.

 

This role is responsible for leading the HRIS and HR Core/Spec Ops teams, oversees our people technology portfolio and directs program management efforts around M&A integration and geographic expansion from an operational and systems lens.


Role Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with critical partner groups (HRBPs, EMEA operations, People Data Science, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT and Talent Development/Learning) to understand their needs, ensure alignment on objectives, and ensure ongoing buy-in across all systems and activities.
  • Support shared vision across HR by partnering with key business stakeholders.
  • Provide proactive thought leadership on best practices that enhance the overall employee experience through key people systems and scaled operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute on user journeys, experience design and effective operations.
  • Own security governance model and ensure it appropriately serves business needs.
  • Own the long-term roadmap for HRIS products/services.
  • Understands and advocates for operational support requirements when new programs and features are rolled out.
  • Create, monitor and address key operational metrics to help enable a continuous improvement focused team.
  • Leverage tools, technology and partner with People Data Science team to automate workflows in support of user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Create and utilize data dashboards and metric libraries to inform prioritization processes and project roadmaps.
  • Partner to design user-friendly training sessions, tutorials, guidelines and documentation and ensure users understand their role in maintenance, usage and optimization of the HRIS portfolio.
  • Identify change management needs across the organization based on project impacts and be able to devise plan for communication, strategy and training as needed.
  • Collaborate on vendor relations and procurement related to systems and operations.
  • Act as a conduit between HR, Security and IT organizations, partnering with key IT and other business stakeholders to ensure that systems feed critical people data through downstream integrations to business applications, vendors, etc.
  • Communicate a clear vision of each program’s objectives and lead through influence the teams needed to achieve goals.
  • Communicate actively with users and client groups about upcoming changes, product enhancements, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+years experience specific to technology enabled process improvement and user experience
  • Is an experienced leader and can influence decision-makers
  • Is resourceful and can multi-task and adapt to changing priorities to meet demands
  • Can easily maneuver from big picture to detail and back…quickly
  • Understands and applies logic to analyze and review data, looking for patterns, drawing insights.
  • Anticipates questions, thinks ahead, plans for contingencies. Finds alternative/practical solutions when ideal solutions are not possible
  • Has superb communication skills and the ability to frame problems and solutions quickly and concisely for a variety of audiences (e.g. junior employees, senior employees, engineers)
  • Experience with change management and transformation
  • Analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting abilities
  • Vendor management
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and react quickly to changing priorities
  • Progressive knowledge of cloud-based HR technology applications and solutions
  • Experience developing and executing project and program level change management plans
  • Working knowledge of HR systems, processes, trends and best practices preferred
  • Workday pro certification preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3years experience specific to technology enabled process improvement and user experience.
  • Global company experience
  • People management experience
  • Experience managing cloud-based technology applications and solutions
  • Experience managing operations and/or operations engineering teams
