What you get to do:
Reporting to the VP of Talent & Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), the Senior Manager, Learning & Development will build an equitable and world-class function that enables all of our employees to improve their performance, own their development, and maximize their potential, regardless of background and experience. You will oversee Opploans' performance and learning programs including end-end to goal setting, performance reviews, career and manager coaching, and leadership development. This will include strategy design, program and training delivery, scaling and measuring the results of our programs.
- Lead the development of our long-term learning and development strategy and leading all relevant components to improve employee performance, promote equity for underrepresented groups, and increase retention of our team members
- Be the lead for enterprise-wide, multi-stakeholder change efforts to evolve and annually implement OppLoans' performance review process, Oppt for Growth
- Oversee team development and programs that optimize team performance introducing new tools and assessments
- Be a leadership coach in both individual and group formats to provide a high touch learning and growth experience for leaders and design high potential programs for top talent
- Identify and build opportunities to improve leadership and soft skills by analyzing data to identify trends, and communicating findings to multiple audiences, and partnering cross-functionally with essential leaders and teams
- Share and model contemporary practices with teammates to build collective team capacity in areas including adult learning, performance management, and manager effectiveness
- Measure and assess programs, evaluate for equity, quality, impact, scalability and sustainability, and seek improvement opportunities while establishing methods for sustained adoption
- Source, recommend, and manage vendor relationships and contracts. Provide guidance and recommendations on learning technology platforms (e.g. LinkedIn Learning, Lattice, HRIS systems) functionality and governance
What you will bring to the team:
- Master's Degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology or relative field of study
- A passion for creating equitable people processes that include and serve all employees
- Experience developing learning and leadership development programs
- You are a sought after facilitator with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Knowledge of applying best practice manager and leadership development principles to designing programs
- Communicate and build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Enjoy the autonomy that comes with leading your portion of the business
- Have an ability to identify opportunities, successes, and failures quickly and act upon them in a thoughtful manner
- Be open to giving and receiving challenging feedback

Compensation and Benefits
OppLoans offers a 401(k) matching program and paid vacation.
