Do you have a passion for helping people grow?

Groupon’s mission is to become the daily habit in local commerce and fulfill our purpose of building strong communities through thriving small businesses by connecting people to a vibrant, global marketplace for local services, experiences and goods. In the process, we’re positively impacting the lives of millions of customers and merchants globally. Even with thousands of employees spread across multiple continents, we still maintain a culture that inspires innovation, rewards risk-taking and celebrates success. If you want to take more ownership of your career, then you're ready to be part of Groupon.

The Talent Development Senior Lead will support the strategy and execution of talent development initiatives in the disciplines of performance management, talent management, employee engagement, learning and development, and culture. This person will be a member of the Global Talent Development team and will work closely with HRBPs, and business leaders to establish and bring to life our people agenda. As Groupon continues its focus on attracting, developing, and retaining top talent, we are seeking a Talent Development Senior Lead to craft and deploy programs that support our employees in a competitive talent landscape.

We're a "best of both worlds" kind of company. We're big enough to have resources and scale, but small enough that a single person has a surprising amount of autonomy and can make a significant and meaningful impact. We're curious, fun, a little intense, and kind of obsessed with helping local businesses thrive. Does that sound like a compelling place to work?

How you'll spend your time:

Leadership Development

  • You will ensure effective delivery and evaluation of management and leadership capability programs

  • You will guide and collaborate with business leaders to craft, revise and facilitate internal training initiatives

  • Partner with both HR and the business to build methods that meet succession and development planning needs of different teams and ultimately strengthen the bench of future leaders

Culture and Engagement

  • You will manage and continually evolve the Pulse Survey program

  • Promote the Groupon mission, values, and Leader Habits

Talent Processes

  • You will manage the performance management, talent review, and mid-year promotions processes with an eye toward continuous improvement

  • You will ensure adoption and practical use of WorkDay and other technology systems

  • Drive the transformation of Groupon’s performance management to move towards a culture of continuous feedback and coaching, using the right frameworks and tools

Talent Business Partner

  • You will partner with HRBPs to bring to life the people agenda for the North America Sales organization

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Talent and Leadership

  • Strong consulting skills and experience working directly with business leaders to identify needs and scope solutions

  • Strong organizational skills with evidence of successfully managing concurrent projects

  • Results-oriented and hands-on approach and a self-starter who can execute in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction

  • Demonstrates extreme comfort with ambiguity and ability to adapt prior experience to the Groupon landscape and culture

  • Polished and comfortable public speaker with experience in virtual delivery and webinars

  • Mature E.Q. and strong interdepartmental collaboration skills

  • Experience in a global, matrix organization

We're pumped if you have:

  • Master’s degree or advanced degree in Industrial/Organizational psychology

  • Experience rolling out global programs a plus

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Certification in Situational Leadership
