We are PEAK6, a leading investment firm. You'll find us headquartered in the historic Chicago Board of Trade building, where we first opened our doors in 1997. It's been over 20 years since we were one of the first firms to develop sophisticated proprietary technology to use in our trading business. Today, we continue to leverage our technical ingenuity and operational excellence across several investment areas, spanning early-to-mid stage growth capital, operational control, trading, and e-sports, while always proving value to the customer. Throughout the years, we've built and operated several financial technology firms, and we continue to evolve. You'll find a bit of everything here, and we're always looking to take on new endeavors.

Accelerate your career by joining a dynamic, successful team looking to break new ground in talent acquisition. In this role, you’ll be a critical member of the recruiting team, partnering with the Technology team and driving the recruiting process to identify the right fits for our sophisticated, growing technology team.

We’re looking for someone who:

Learns quickly . You’re intellectually curious and love solving unique challenges. You ask ‘why’, and push to identify areas where we can constantly improve.

Is motivated . You’re driven to be the best. You challenge yourself by setting goals, crushing them, and helping your teammates do the same.

Is collaborative. You’re excited to be a partner with the business, working as a team to find the right talent for our organization.

Is a good listener . You know how to ask the right questions and you know how to take others’ opinions and create a cohesive path forward.

Brings creative solutions. You thrive on bringing new ideas to the table and finding creative new ways to solve problems.

What you’ll do all day:

Build strong relationships . As the face of our technology recruiting, you’ll build strong, productive relationships with candidate, agencies, and the business.

Be a valued partner. You’ll partner directly with leadership and managers to scope the new roles and manage the process to help find the right talent for their teams.

Develop innovative staffing solutions You’ll be tasked with filling challenging tech roles and will be empowered to find innovative new strategies to find the best talent .

Set strategy & influence. As a liaison to the business, you’ll be responsible for setting recruiting strategy and getting buy-in from the firm.

Find the best talent for the team. You’ll become an expert on our culture and our needs, and find candidates who will be good fits and thrive in their roles.

A few reasons why you might love us:

We’re not a fly by night firm. We’ve got an amazing track record of success and we foster ongoing innovation. So you get all the benefits of a stable company, while enjoying a very entrepreneurial culture.

We care about culture. We fervently believe in our culture and you’ll be a part of a team who drive our culture forward.

You’ll have a real impact. You’ll have direct access to leadership and managers who will support your efforts every step of the way.

The work environment is amazing . The office space is very cool, open and totally unique. And the people you’ll work with are equally amazing.

Your success will be recognized and appreciated. You’ll be able to see your direct impact on our growth. You won’t be just another cog in the wheel.

And a few reasons why you may not like working for us:

You’re an agency recruiter. We value quality over quantity. You’ll need to embrace our culture and really dig in to help find the right fit for the role.

You don’t like change . This is not a job for someone who likes ‘predictable’. The market is dynamic which means the work is dynamic. It’s a fast-paced environment and you need to adapt to adapt accordingly. You won’t be bored.

You’re not the collaborative type . We’re solving pretty heady challenges. We bring ideas to the table and we work together to solve these challenges. If you’re looking to hide out and do your own thing, this might not be the right spot.

The skills you’ll need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a corporate recruiting environment with an exceptionally high bar for talent, with at least 3+ years of experience focused on technology recruiting
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven understanding of the software development lifecycle: development languages, infrastructure, platforms and dependencies while working with proprietary applications
  • Experience utilizing social media/sourcing tools: Linked in Recruiter, Facebook, Twitter
  • Experience identifying passive, top tier candidates using networking and social media
  • Successful track record developing creative strategies on how to recruit passive candidates at all levels which match fit with motivation
  • Experience working in a fast paced, demanding environment; strong ability to prioritize/manage time
  • Strong drive and a focus on quality, detail and execution
  • Experience using online candidate applicant tracking tools
