Talent Acquisition Manager
SpotHero is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our People Team and lead our efforts to attract the best talent around for both business and technical positions in the United States and Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the recruitment cycle – from enhancing our internal recruitment strategies, to building and managing relationships with hiring managers, to sourcing and filling all open roles and achieving headcount targets. What you will do:
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for the entire SpotHero organization (business and technical side) from sourcing through offer delivery.
- Define a best in class candidate experience and work with the People Team and hiring managers to ensure we live up to that definition every time.
- Acquire an in-depth understanding of the competitive talent landscape and develop strategies for attracting talent.
- Nurture relationships with prospective candidates and manage on-going manager relationships to effectively bring on top talent.
- Build a relationship network and pipeline of candidates for the purpose of sourcing, recruiting and hiring by researching and contacting professional organizations and college career offices
- Utilizing recruitment tools such as the company’s applicant tracking system (Greenhouse), job posting sites, social recruitment sites, meetups and other tech community events.
- Source and engage with a diverse pool of qualified candidates to further SpotHero’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
- Establish applicant requirements by thoroughly reviewing job descriptions and qualifications.
- Create job postings on career sites and other external posting sites.
- Along with Hiring Managers, develop interview plans for open positions. Determine who will interview and what types of questions will be asked based on the requirements of the job. Facilitate post-interview meetings with the hiring team to assess candidates’ qualifications.
- Coach hiring personnel on proper interviewing rules and techniques. Develop and conduct training for lesser experienced interviewers and managers on legal considerations for interviewing and how to develop behavioral questions to properly assess candidates.
- Assist SpotHero’s executive team in defining attributes that will result in effective hiring practices, employee promotions, succession planning and career advancement opportunities for company’s positions.
- Responsible for ownership and maintaining the company’s applicant tracking system (Greenhouse). Ensure that hiring managers and outside agencies are accurately trained and using the system per the People Team’s defined policy. Conduct training when necessary.
- Define, track and report key metrics used for measuring and predicting staffing activity.
- Work with the Head of People and Talent & Communications Manager to assist in the creation and development of employee branding and marketing strategies to attract top talent. Maintain the People Team’s various career sites and with other members of the People Team develop content and regularly revise content when necessary.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of robust and accurate job descriptions which will include career paths illustrating career progression from one job to the next. Ensure job descriptions are regularly reviewed and updated. Lead progressive thinking around career pathing and laddering so growth is transparent and managed effectively across the organization.
- Work with Legal to manage immigration sponsorship process in addition to other special projects as assigned.

What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years of corporate recruiting experience.
- Ability to be creative, but also detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects at once and shift priorities appropriately.
- Basic technology knowledge (different coding languages/technical stacks/terminology).
- Startup experience is preferred.
- Well-rounded and diverse experience in identification and engagement of top talent.
- Proven interviewing skills. You know what to ask and how to ask it to properly assess talent in both a technical and non-technical capacity.
- Experience using an applicant tracking system – Greenhouse experience is a plus!
- Computer literacy with the following applications: Word, Excel and Google Suite.
