The Role

As a Technical Recruiter, you will partner with Leaf Trade leadership to expand the rapidly growing team, specifically on the technical side (i.e. software engineering, product management, QA, design, data analytics). You will have the opportunity to collaborate with Marketing and other departments in order to contribute to the overall People strategy of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with leadership to have a full-scale understanding of hiring needs and highest impact tech-related positions within the company

  • Participate in meetings with hiring managers to determine the preferred attributes for potential hires

  • Source Candidates via:

    • LinkedIn Outreach

    • Personal Network

    • Job Postings (Indeed, GitHub, StackOverflow, etc.)

    • Networking Events (BuiltIn Chicago, Meetups, etc.)

  • Actively work toward building a diverse and highly qualified tech team to support the organization

  • Utilize process-driven screening to assess the skills, qualifications and experience of potential candidates

  • Conduct preliminary interviews with recruits to gauge interest, personality and salary requirements

  • Perform required criminal background checks and reach out to previous employers to determine the accuracy of applicant information

  • Provide feedback to management about details regarding applications

  • Ensure proper onboarding for new hires and the necessary paperwork is completed promptly and accurately

  • Coordinate with marketing leadership on employer branding

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in technical recruiting

  • Experience in the continual development of talent pipelines and sourcing potential candidates

  • Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making is strongly preferred

  • Skilled in an array of ATS to connect with potential candidates and maintain efficiencies in the recruiting process

  • Ability to speak knowledgeably about the company and answer any technical questions a potential hire may have

  • Experience working with a diverse team and striving for fairness in hiring all races, genders, orientations, and ages

  • Previous experience developing and executing recruiting marketing and branding strategies

  • Confident and determined

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to rapidly develop and cultivate relationships with peers, partners, candidates, and key influencers

  • Ability to work independently and multitask with attention to detail and professionalism
