SMS Assist L.L.C. is seeking a dynamic and organized individual to join our growing Training Department.  This position reports to the Training Manager, and is responsible for supporting the three pillars of the SMS Training Department (SMS University).  The SMS Training Department develops and delivers all training for SMS Assist which includes training new hires, internal employees, leadership, customers and affiliates on our business, systems, processes, etc.  This is a newly established position and will be the sole support person for our Training Department.  This individual will be responsible for: 

  • Providing administrative support for all training components/pillars. This includes scheduling, class coordination, tracking participants, creating and maintaining training materials, etc.
  • Assisting Training Managers with development of training sessions for new hires, employees, leadership and customers/affiliates.
  • Coordinating and organizing all facets of customer and affiliate trainings including dates/times, rooms, trainers, attendees, etc.
  • Assisting with monitoring logistics and participation in new hire and other training classes.
  • Coordinating virtual/webinar training and in-person training.
  • Assisting with creating and compiling ongoing assessments of the training needs of our internal and external customers to assess the effectiveness of the training programs to ensure all needs are met.
  • Supporting the training team through research of vendors, as necessary, for the development and delivery of training materials.
  • Assisting with coordinating calendars and meetings for the Training Department.
  • This is a development opportunity, which could lead to actually conducting/delivering training sessions.
  • Contributing to other team priorities and projects, as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 – 2 years of coordination and administrative experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and explain company systems, customer portal, etc.

  • Innovative approach to training, and ability to come up with creative methods for knowledge transfer

  • Ability to develop relationships with key Business Partners
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, and time-sensitive environment
  • Online or eLearning training experience is a plus
  • Professional public speaking skills are a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and training techniques is a plus
