We are looking for a true human capital leader to support all things people! You will own the development of talent strategies across all business lines, coach and develop both leadership and individual contributors, and handle all operational tasks related to benefits and payroll. This role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Key Accountabilities 

• Build and own the project44 HR function at pace with p44’s high growth plan
• Drive talent initiatives as a strategic contributor at the company leadership table
• Develop and implement best practices for retention, benefits, succession planning, onboarding, employee relations and compliance
• Measure ongoing effectiveness of performance management process
• Create and implement best in class new hire onboarding to scale as we grow
• Own payroll management and benefit administration while implementing best practices for scalability
• Lead employee relations, respond to employee concerns, coach managers on appropriate responses to employee issues, and conduct investigations as needed
• Manage a small staff including a department administrator

Requirements & Preferred Skills

• Experience working with a fast-growth technology company, strongly preferred
• 10+ years of experience within human resources
• SHRM or PHR certification, preferred
• Verifiable experience partnering strategically with leadership
• Experience with BambooHR and ADP (or equivalent tools), a plus
• Comfortable presenting to leadership and in a large group
• Working knowledge of labor laws and regulation, including California
• Willing to roll up your sleeves to accomplish what needs to be done
• Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as necessary
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
