About the Team

The Global Talent Development & Diversity team is comprised of business-focused, trusted advisors who deliver on high-impact development programs and drive culture change. This small, yet mighty team expands the globe and drives initiatives related to employee engagement and culture, talent assessment, performance management, training and development, and inclusion and diversity. Role Summary and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Lead, Inclusion and Diversity, you will partner cross-functionally to execute on Groupon’s global Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) strategy and objectives. Specifically, you will work with partners across the organization to build and lead programs that will improve processes, amplify our efforts, and increase impact.

 

In this role you will:

Evolve and support our Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs)

  • Help take our EBRGs to the next level and ensure alignment with Groupon’s overall I&D strategy and business needs.

  • Support the development and execution of the EBRGs’ annual business plans in alignment with Talent, Culture, and Marketplace.

  • Work closely with collaborators within and outside the organization to support EBRG efforts, including Talent Acquisition, Corporate Social Responsibility, HR leadership, external partner organizations, etc.

  • Liaise with Executive Sponsors and Human Resources to ensure group effectiveness.

  • Use data and metrics aligned to EBRG business plans to measure and communicate impact.

 

Be an I&D Consultant

  • Serve as a coach and consultant on I&D to Corporate Functions and Lines of Business managers.

  • Facilitate and coach the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), along with other I&D curriculum.

  • Advise and mentor EBRG leaders; identify development opportunities to support ongoing learning.

 

Craft and implement strategic I&D communications

  • Collaborate with key partners to communicate enterprise-wide strategies and outcomes for internal and external audiences; communication platforms include social media, intranet, external People Blog, etc.

  • Develop content, newsletters, blogs, and relevant presentations to update partners on I&D progress.

  • Identify and manage speaking opportunities for leadership aligned to our corporate I&D strategy.

 

Project Manage Groupon’s I&D initiatives

  • Help to plan, organize, drive, and measure I&D projects, including developing appropriate timelines for key deliverables and follow up with allies and partners to ensure that all project plans are completed as expected.

  • Serve as a liaison within the function and with partners.

  • Build and maintain an I&D events calendar to ensure leadership participation as appropriate.

 

Support Talent Development & Diversity efforts beyond I&D

  • Facilitate enterprise-wide training as needed.

  • Support ad-hoc requests as needed.

  • Manage other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s, I&D and/or IDI certification a plus.

  • Project Management certification a plus.

  • A minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience, 3-5 years of experience as a professional within the I&D space; experience in the tech industry preferred.

  • Demonstrates Groupon's Leader Habits and values.
