Internal Audit Director 

This position will manage audits of financial and operational controls within the organization to verify accuracy of ledgers, statements, invoices, records, and accountability of assets by reviewing financial and operational records, data, complex transactions, policies, standards, and procedures, to identify deficiencies, duplication of effort, fraud, inaccuracy, inefficiency, cost improvements and non-compliance with organizational guidelines and applicable laws.

This position will also prepare and review reports detailing results of audits and recommend improvements to policies and procedures to correct problems discovered and cooperate with external auditors while causing minimal disruption to operations, to resolve discrepancies or assist in their auditing functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain a thorough understanding of the business processes, including process and information flows and associated controls
  • Ensure a sound risk management and effective internal control environment is in place
  • Drive governance and compliance initiatives across various functions
  • Plan and execute audit assignments to ascertain the operational effectiveness and efficiency of business processes and the adequacy of internal controls, including development of audit work programs
  • Engage with the Audit Committee, line management and make practical and value-added recommendations, and follow up on audit findings to ensure adequacy and timeliness of corrective actions
  • Perform ad-hoc projects, including specific initiatives within specified timelines as assigned by executive management
  • Prepare and review final draft of reports based on audit work performed, for review by executive management, on a project basis or periodically, depending on established requirements
  • Perform any other duties as may be directed by executive management and/or Group Chief Internal Auditor

Requirements:

  • Several years of internal audit experience (with exposure to financial auditing), preferably additional experience in a Big 4 or Internal Audit Department of an established large corporation
  • Both CIA and CPA Certifications are preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong report writing capabilities
  • Strong analytical and technology skills
  • Hands-on and able to work independently in projects, with limited supervision and demonstrate good project management capabilities to meet specified timelines
  • Confident, able to conduct interviews single-handedly with peers, as well as, with senior level management
  • Prior experience in implementation Control Self-Assessment (CSA) program or Candidate with CCSA certification will be preferred
  • Knowledge of data analytics related programming language, such as MS SQL, Visual Basic, ACL or MS Access preferred
  • Willingness to travel (

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
