Job Description

Program Overview:

STATS summer internship program is a 10 week, 30-40 hours per week paid internship. Interns work together and individually within the organization to gain valuable experience and make an impact in sports technology. 

Not only will STATS Interns have hands on experience in their field of study but there are awesome perks too! There will be luncheons, a major league baseball game thrown in the mix and of course STATS gear you can rock to work. 

Who You Are:

Want to gain valuable experience in Accounting and Finance?  Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment?  Like software, technology and/or sports?  If so, we’ve got the internship for you.

We are looking for a driven Accounting Intern with an intermediate understanding of GAAP and financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real-world experience. Under the supervision of our staff, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about accounting software, and assist with other accounting and finance activities. You should be a motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.

What You’ll Do:

  • Shadow members of the Accounting and Finance departments as they perform their duties
  • Assist with research, filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
  • Assist in the preparation of accounting reports and financial analyses including financial statements, variance reports, metrics, and executive dashboards
  • Work with accounting software
  • Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
  • Learn how to work as part of the Accounting and Finance team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients
  • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations

Skills & Requirements

What You Need:

  • To be an incoming Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field
  • Pride in your GPA, University, and the things you’ve accomplished in your spare time
  • Satisfactory completion of intermediate accounting courses and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles
  • Aptitude for math, proficiency with computers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible
