Our Summer Internship Program will allow you to use & develop the skills you've learned in school while participating in engaging events such as: career development workshops, networking events, and guest speakers throughout this paid 12-week internship beginning in May or June 2022, depending on academic calendar.
What You'll Bring
Higher education in Accounting, Finance, business management or other related fields
Moderate analytical skills with the ability to review and analyze data for potential problems
Knowledge of spreadsheets and MS applications including Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills, at a summary and detailed level
Manage and ensure completion of a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities
We’d love to see:
Data entry experience, preferably in a billing function
The ability to be a self-starter and the willingness to be challenged
Ability to work independently, within a team and within a matrix environment
Impact You'll Make
Be an integral part of a growing Global Shared Services organization. The A/R Intern is responsible for supporting TU business, sales, and operations to ensure sales credits are processed timely and accurately. Analyze customer data and make recommendations to management for A/R improvements. Manage daily cash application and sales credit/debit issues.
Investigate misapplication of cash, overpayments, and on account dollars to ensure proper reconciliation.
Monitor workflow queue and email requests to ensure timely reconciliation of adjustments that are received from the sales and account management teams.
Provide consistent and reliable internal and external customer support.
Understands overall departmental and business unit goals and how existing programs/products/processes are designed to support these goals.
Research and follow-up on bank deposit errors and checks credited to the A/R system in error.
Provides solutions to a wide range of A/R issues.
Communicate with sales on sales credits and customer issues.
Analyze data to drive process improvements and transaction efficiencies.
