The Why

From the founder of TopstepTrader, we're looking for a paid intern to help accelerate the growth of a new project, BLUECHXP. BLUECHXP is a free-to-play stock market game where you can earn real rewards like cash and stock, and we're on a mission to gamify stock market education. 

We need a creative self-starter that can test and execute growth strategies to help us acquire new users. The Growth Hacker Marketing Intern position would support critical marketing and operational responsibilities, and contribute to helping shape our product. This is a challenging part-time role (~20 hours/week) with significant opportunity to take on more responsibility and possibly grow into a full-time role in 2019.

The Role

  • Collaborate and execute marketing experiments on different user acquisition channels, including Facebook Ads.
  • Help plan and manage in-person marketing events.
  • Manage BLUECHXP social media channels.
  • Interact with users to manage support requests and issue reward redemptions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly analytics reporting to influence and advance our app.
  • Gather user feedback by engaging with our user community, issuing surveys, and scheduling user interviews.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Growth Hacker experience. You’re familiar with the principles of Growth Hacker Marketing (if you haven’t, read the book!) and have had some experience applying these principles on a job or project
  • Creative and innovative. This is not a conventional marketing role! We need someone with a track record of thinking outside the box and who is not afraid to bring ideas forward
  • Self-starter and quick learner. We’re a small team, so we’re looking for someone that takes initiative, can own key responsibilities without needing detailed instructions, and can adapt and learn new skills as needed
  • Excellent writer. This role will help shape the voice of our brand. Great writing and attention to detail are key
  • Great visual eye. Design skills are certainly a plus, but at a minimum, you have a good instinct for what looks good, as you’ll be helping to shape the visual identity of our brand
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media. You don’t have to be a pro, but you at least have a basic knowledge of digital marketing and social media management
