Business Intelligence Internship - Summer 2018
What you'll be doing:
As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will get a unique experience by working on real projects that impact our day-to-day business and production. We are a team of problem- solvers, self-directors and action-oriented thinkers. You’ll be expected to hit the ground running, learning the data technologies, strategies and reporting techniques that will enable you to contribute to the continued success of the company.
You may be asked to assist with the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and scorecards that track key customer, loan, and business metrics responsible from different data sources/business units using BI tools. You will capture and translate requirements, through variety techniques, to create coherent report design documents leading to successful solutions. You will operate as an owner by completing the full life cycle of a project from understanding the business process that the application supports through implementation and support. Last but not least, you have the ability to become an expert in the programming and reporting systems used on the team.
What you should have:
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/CS, IT, or related study with a planned graduation of December 2018 or Spring 2019. Master's preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of SQL and data analysis
- Previous experience with MicroStrategy or other BI tools
- The ability to gather requirements and provide long term solution development experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interface with Business, Analytics and IT organizations
- The ability to work effectively in a short-cycle, team oriented environment, managing multiple priorities and tasks
- A desire to become an expert in Business Intelligence solutions
