Data Engineer Intern (Summer 2023)
As a Wolverine Data Engineering Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a performance-driven database infrastructure geared toward a fast paced trading environment. The Database team sits central to all things data related at Wolverine Trading. On a technical front managing the entire stack from hardware to application layer, and interfacing with all data users – other engineers, traders and business stakeholders. You will work closely with the data team and project stakeholders alike. The ability to understand business needs and translate to technical resolutions is key to this role. This summer’s work will vary between database design, support, tuning, SQL report writing, scripting and anything else that could touch the database layer of the firm.
What We're Looking For:
- Educational focus in CS, MIS, engineering, or an applied science with graduation date between December 2022 and June 2023.
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Database related coursework
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Programming or scripting skills, T-SQL a big plus
- Interest in financial trading industry
