Digital Marketing & User Experience Intern
Marketing has truly been revolutionized over the past 10-15 years. Massive advancements in data analytics and machine learning, combined with a proliferation of digital (data-rich) media environments in which one can advertise to consumers, has created a world in which marketers can be far more effective than ever before. For the first time, we can measure the impact of almost every dollar we spend in near real time, learn from the results, and iterate to become more effective.
This rotational program is a rare opportunity for an ambitious person to learn how to use these tools to drive measurable and powerful growth in a business. You’ll be joining and learning from a small, talented team that has driven more than $200 million in revenue growth - just over the past 12 months. You’ll enter an environment that will not only challenge and develop your analytical skills, but will require you to exercise your empathic and creative powers as well.
During the program, analysts will rotate through the three groups within the marketing organization - spending a few weeks in each group before joining one of the three full-time:
- Customer acquisition: learn how to craft, launch, and optimize campaigns in all the major digital marketing platforms – from Facebook to google search, to Bing and display ad platforms.
- Customer experience optimization: we are always tinkering with our “funnel” in order to improve its performance. You’ll learn how to use actual consumer insights data – from google analytics, customer surveys, call recordings – to generate user experience tests, then measure their performance against our “control” experiences. Insight – test – measure – learn – repeat.
- Supply/Demand Operations: marketing campaigns drive thousands of customers onto the phones every day. Hundreds of agents are taking those customer calls – but can only take one at a time. Right in the middle of all that is a choreographer, creating order out of chaos, and making sure we don’t over or undersupply our agents – preserving the profit margins of the entire company in real-time.
