As part of our 2020 transformation journey, we became Global Audit & Advisory (GAA), formerly Internal Audit. The Global Audit & Advisory team is an independent and objective assurance and consulting activity that is-guided by a philosophy of adding value to improve the operations of TU. GAA assists the organization in accomplishing its objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's risk management, control, and governance processes.
Global Audit & Advisory collaborates with Business Unit and Functional leadership and their Associates in developing strong, professional and independent relationships to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the business to enable value added recommendations that improve efficiency and effectiveness. In addition, the group also maintains a strong collaboration with the company’s external auditor to perform management’s SOX testing activities in an efficient manner.
We offer an excellent opportunity to participate in a year round internship with a fast paced team working on various financial, IT, and Compliance audit assignments for our domestic and International business units. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to learn about the systems, products, strategies, and people at TransUnion in relation to how the internal control framework operates over financial reporting processes. We offer the chance to gain exposure to Internal Audit best practices, Executive management while gaining experience in a corporate environment.
What You'll Bring
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting with some audit coursework and understanding of audit principles
Some audit coursework and understanding of audit principles
Close attention to detail, strong sense of organization and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as individually
Experience working with people, whether it be an office environment/previous internship or retail/customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Availability to intern over the summer and winter
Impact You'll Make
Work with various members of GAA team and management to perform various Finance, IT, and Compliance audits
Learn day-to-day internal audit work
Assist with walkthroughs, testing, and workpaper documentation for various audits
Some interaction and assistance with external auditors
Assistance with SOX 404 testing
Performs other related duties as assigned
