About the Position

Maropost is looking for a detail-oriented Graphic Design Intern to join our growing marketing team in our Chicago office. Reporting into our Senior Design Manager, our Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing creative support on all Marketing efforts across varying mediums. This position will transform high-level project requirements into tangible user experiences, utilizing the latest standards in graphic design, usability and front-end development. We would like an intern who can commit to 15 to 20 hours of work a week in our offices in River North. 

Your Opportunity

• You will use the principles of good design to layout and format of all marketing and promotional materials; brochures, flyers, sell sheets, banners, ads, etc.
• You will incorporate brand approved elements (photography, illustrations, graphic elements, typography and copy) together into a well-designed message.
• You will wireframe and design graphics for websites and micro-sites utilizing strong usability principals to create interfaces that meet experience standards
• You will adhere to the creative workflow process; attending briefing meetings, producing multiple design comps and working iteratively with project stakeholders through concept to completion
• You will take ownership and pride in delivering and completing clean, high-quality, pixel-perfect designs in line with our brand standards
• You will use design periodicals, on-line research and other assorted media outlets to gain inspiration for developing concepts and executing designs
• You will support efforts across the company to enhance our brand experience internally and externally

What You'll Need to Bring to Maropost

• You are working towards a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, or User Interface Design
• You have a diverse portfolio strong on the creative side in both print and web design (previous professional experience is a plus, but not required)
• You are an expert of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe XD) and an understanding web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
• You have experience working with mobile responsive templates and basic UX/UI skills and processes
• You have the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects, deliver programs and tactics on time in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
• You have the ability to carry creative vision from concept to completion
• You have a strong attention to detail
• You have excellent communication skills
• You work collaboratively with marketers, copywriters, and various teams within the company
• You are a creative thinker and can find new ways to expand and enhance the Maropost brand
• You have the right personality that can naturally gel with developers, hang out with sales, brainstorm with marketing, dig through figures with our analysts
