The Challenge

We are looking for an enthusiastic HR/Talent Intern to join us this summer! This is a role for someone who is mega-organized and detail-oriented. The HR/Talent team at oak9 is all about the people, so you should value contributing to a communicative, transparent, inclusive company. The HR/Talent intern is integral for creating a smooth candidate experience and engaging employee experience.

The Skillset

• Ability to work from our Chicago (River North) office 1 day per week and remotely 4 days a week, part-time
• Highly organized and able to maintain multiple work streams 
• Excellent written communication skills
• Deep desire to learn and hunger to do your best 
• Proven ability to work autonomously and drive projects forward 
• Customer facing experience preferred 

In 2 weeks, you will...

• Get to know oak9! Learn about our systems, processes, people, and vision 
• Create relationships with key stakeholder
• Post new jobs to our applicant tracking system and other job boards 
• Build Interview ‘scorecards’ for various interview types 

In 1 month, you will...

• Gather details for and create first drafts of descriptions
• Build onboarding training schedules for new hires 
• Coordinate and communicate interview schedules 

In 3 months, you will...

• Research creative benefit offerings
• Participate in other adhoc projects with the team
