Human Resources Intern
ThinkMarkets is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our Chicago team for the summer! The HR Intern will be assisting our team in a variety of tasks such as recruiting, HR administration, and other ad hoc projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn holistically about the Human Resources field, while making significant contributions to the team and our business.
The ideal candidate is a rising senior who is willing to work the summer and is able to come into the office on a limited schedule (we practice extreme COVID caution and provide all necessary sanitizers, masks, and social distancing to keep the work environment safe). This internship will last from July up to Labor Day weekend.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with our Corporate Recruiter in reviewing applicants resumes for various open roles
- Coordinate onsite interviews for candidates in final stages of the interview process
- Assist in the onboarding process of new hires to our Chicago office, including paperwork, background checks, and orientation
- Learn how to proactively source passive candidates to assist in hiring more strategic roles
- Work closely with our Head of Corporate Services and Office Manager in learning benefits and payroll administration
- Complete ad hoc projects as needed, with strong usage of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Requirements:
- Major or heavy coursework in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Superb interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a sharp attention to detail
- Innovative and problem-solving mindset with a strong desire to learn
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite/365 is preferred
