Incoming Payments Intern

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
Incoming Payments is responsible for posting incoming payments coming from assets held by Millennium Trust Company as a custodian and clients, while ensuring that activities are completed accurately and efficiently by adhering to Company policies, procedures and established service levels.
INTERNSHIP SUMMARY
We value our interns at MTC and are excited to provide them with an opportunity to develop their professional skills while obtaining hands on practical experience in the financial services/custody industry. This is a paid program geared toward college students, recent college graduates, and those individuals pursuing a Master’s degree.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain an understanding of the Company’s Value Proposition and the service we provide to our clients
- Gain an understanding of the department objectives and their impact on the business and client
- Gain an understanding of our Company Values and how they are integrated into the foundation of operations and performance at Millennium Trust
- Work both independently and collaboratively on a variety of projects such as holdback follow up, liquidation follow up, and confirmation of receipt of funds
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Communicate across all levels of the organization
- Participate in regular staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned
INTERN WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN
- Lunch-and-Learn sessions to network with other interns and MTC executives
- Have your resume reviewed by an HR professional
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field
- Completion of sophomore year and a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Professional demeanor and detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Analytical and quantitative skills required
- Strong research and problem solving skills
- Capacity to maintain confidential information
SCHEDULE, COMPENSATION, AND OTHER INFORMATION
- The internship program is a 10-week program with full time hours
- Business casual dress with jeans on Friday
- Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds
