Primary Responsibilities

The Inventory Health Intern contributes to driving process improvements and best practices for KeHE Distributors Supply Chain. Working within Supply Chain Operations, you will focus on sustainability on the world through food justice impact. This experience will afford exposure to development of new tools, technologies, lean concepts, teambuilding, and leadership tools. Our Internship starts June 2022.

Essential Functions

  • Internship overview : Supply Chain - Inventory Health - Reducing Food Waste
  • Focus on extra outlets & the opportunity to expand scope to pig farmers + sustainable impact on the world through food justice.
  • Exposure to lean practices for Supply Chain and contribute to productivity improvement processes.
  • Assist with projects by partnering with Supply Chain Systems and Analytics Teams, Warehouse Operations and other teams to ensure understanding of processes between the groups.
  • Troubleshoots with Supply Chain management on questions and finds solutions for problems.
  • Potential exposure to collaborating with IT on JDA and AWR (E3) requirement gatherings, business blueprinting, design, process documentation in a supply chain environment.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Current college student with a focus in Business Administration or Supply Chain / Logistics
  • Someone who is passionate about making a sustainable impact on the world through food justice
  • Works well with others and demonstrates emotional intelligence
  • Eager to learn and is coachable
  • Can work in a team and independently
  • Advanced skillset in MS Office Suite required
  • Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI reporting platforms
