Position Title: IT Automation Engineer Intern

Location: Chicago, IL

Expected start date to end date: June 11–August 17

More than 400 global businesses leverage SAP Fieldglass’ intuitive Vendor Management System (VMS) to gain visibility into its external labor, project-based services including Statements of Work (SOWs), independent contractors and additional flexible talent pools.

What you'll do

  • Fully prepared to support various programming languages with a focus on Microsoft PowerShell
  • Recognition of processes that require automation
  • Implementation of production systems into cloud based architecture(s)
  • Engage in cloud services to support production systems
  • Serve as IT support surrounding implemented automated solutions
  • Create, manage, and maintain automation process documentation
  • Implement deployment process leveraging Windows Desired State Configuration Manager

 

Position Requirements: What it takes

 Our continued growth is dependent upon talented people with a variety of skills, knowledge and backgrounds. We hire Information Technology interns with experience in all the following areas:

  • Fieldglass is looking for candidates that have a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer or Information Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Management Information Systems or related course of study.
  • Excellent understanding of Windows PowerShell or other object orientated programming language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative and analytical approach to solving complex problems
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independency
  • Experience supporting Azure, AWS or other cloud based technologies
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016
  • Familiarity in Virtualization technologies – Vmware preferred
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail and problem solving
  • Familiarity with Linux operating system
  • Experience with Windows Desired State Configuration Manager
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory architect
  • Experience with Remote Desktop Services
  •
