About Tock
Tock is changing the way restaurants, wineries, and event organizers think about and run their business. This includes a robust reservation, guest, and table management system for businesses of all sizes across the globe.
Tock was founded with the idea there was a better way for guests to book reservations. Nick Kokonas and Chef Grant Achatz opened Alinea to international fanfare in 2005 - now a perennial Michelin three star, and widely considered one of the best restaurants in the world. For years they were spending $140,000 a year on staff dedicated to managing reservations and losing an average of $260,000 a year on cancellations. Nick started work on a crude reservation system. The homemade platform was a success. Soon after, Nick founded Tock with Brian Fitzpatrick, founder of Google's Chicago engineering office, to turn this simple idea into a robust platform to change the way people dine around the world.

What you’ll do
An internship at Tock is more than just a learning experience, it’s an opportunity to make an impact in a rapidly growing start-up with some of the best and brightest in the industry. The Marketing and Account Management teams are the face of Tock to our customers. Through this internship, you’ll gain first-hand experience in the following:
- Research and gain exposure to the restaurant industry
- Learn how to configure Tock’s software for new customers
- Assist team members with tasks for training new customers
- Learn how to document and enter requirements within Salesforce software
- Build reports and learn how to analyze marketing data
- Support other team initiatives as needed
We’re hoping you are
- Excited about Tock and what we do
- Passionate about software and the restaurant industry
- A strong communicator via email, phone, and social media
- Experienced using Excel, Google Sheets and Docs, SQL
You must be
- Enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate degree program, or recent graduate
- Experienced working in an office environment
- A quick learner with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and able to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving and writing skills
- Problem solver and able to work independently
- Strong work ethic and high level of professionalism
- Able to commit to 16-20 hours per week (days are flexible) and a minimum 3-month commitment
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
