Job description:
We're looking for an MBA Strategy Intern to support 2022 planning, Series D fundraising, and high value strategic projects. Responsibilities will include prioritization framework development, market research, competitive benchmarking, Series D fundraising and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) slide deck development, and deeper dive analyses supporting important new initiatives that do not live neatly in one department or team.
The ideal candidate is adept at working cross-functionally, synthesizing data into insights, and visual communication. You thrive in a fast pace, love to collaborate, and think like an owner in championing the most important work for the business. This is a high visibility role reporting directly to the VP of Strategy with exposure to Tovala's CFO, CEO, and senior leadership team.
How you'll spend your time at Tovala:
- Support framework development and analysis for 2022 annual strategic planning
- Own new program proposal development for high priority, cross-cutting initiatives
- Support competitive research and storytelling materials for Series D fundraising
Requirements
About you:
- You are currently pursuing your MBA degree
- You have 2+ years of consulting experience
- You are customer obsessed and work backwards from the customer - your relentless focus on a great customer experience is at the core of your every day work
- You are a highly collaborative team player with low ego, an eagerness to learn, and ability to manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Data is your friend, creativity is your partner in crime - you balance analytical thinking with a creative curiosity
- You possess strong communication skills and have experience in distilling detailed research into strategic recommendations via effective story-telling skills
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, require little oversight, work well under pressure and thrive in high ambiguity situations
- You love food, whether that means cooking it, eating it, frequently pressing your nose against deli windows, or lusting after soft-serve on Instagram. All fair game.
