Purpose: 
The Meetings Intern is part of the Meetings and Incentives team that creates and executes memorable conference, meeting and incentive travel experiences for Pampered Chef independent sales consultants. We examine what works, what doesn’t, and strive to provide the best possible experiences for consultants.

The Meetings Intern will assist the Meetings and Incentives team on fulfilling all aspects of meetings, conference and incentive travel support. The Meetings Intern role is a temporary entry level role that will give the candidate exposure to all areas of meeting and incentive planning, so they can assist with portions of our programs. The Meetings Intern would report to the Manager, Meetings & Production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination & execution of materials needed for programs
  • Assist in coordinating initiatives with other departments as needed such as IT and Marketing
  • Coordinates material handling and other assembly items with partners in our Distribution Centers and fulfillment centers
  • Assist in managing all vendor professional service agreements, contracts and billing for National Conference
  • Assist with contracts and invoice tracking for national conference
  • Provide onsite event support including registration, assisting with logistical activities, managing schedules and set up and take down of events
  • Provide any other event or recognition related support as needed by team

Education and Experience:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficient using the Web to conduct research
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with event planning in school, professional or with volunteer groups

Other Requirements:

  • Work at least 20 hours during their Spring Break to get acclimated with team and programs preferred
  • Ability to travel over-night for approximately a week.
  • Ability to work long hours and a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, as necessary
  • Work a maximum of 40 hours a week starting mid-May until mid-August
  • Limited time off the month of July
  • Must be available to work 40+ hours July 5th – July 10th 2020
  • Able to lift 30+ lbs
