Title: Part-Time Student-Product Engineering-Grade Management-Dubuque IA-Partial Remote - 85235
Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule year-round.
Your Responsibilities
- Support development of requirements and system architecture of 2D grade control solutions for John Deere construction products.
- Work with marketing, dealers, customers, and machine product teams to support strategies for high value, basic grade control solutions.
- Support successful on-machine integration of grade control solutions (hardware and software.
- Evaluates possible design solutions to improve cost, quality and performance based on knowledge of engineering applications.
- Compiles and furnishes necessary information to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers, supply management and/or supplier personnel.
What Skills You Need
- Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in electrical, computer science or mechanical engineering or equivalent; others may apply
- Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university
- Graduation date of May 2023 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work 10-20 hours/week during the academic year (after acclimation, may be able to work partially remote)
- Available to work 40 hours/week during the summer semester
- Must be able to commute to the work location as needed
