Position Description
Zoro is currently offering one paid internship for a passionate & driven individual interested in joining our Product Management Operations team for the summer of 2019. This is a full-time opportunity and will start early June and end in late August. The start and end dates can be flexible based on your semester schedule.
In terms of responsibilities, the Zoro Product Management Operations team takes ownership for the collection and maintenance of product information for the product team across all channels, including the addition of new SKUs to the Zoro assortment. In addition, this team is responsible for the on-going operation of a Product Information Management (PIM) Tool to support all elements of product data leveraged by various departments within Zoro. This includes requests for IT resources and development work when needed. We partner with teams from our parent company to gather product data, receive updates and create process efficiencies and scale through process improvement projects.
In addition, we work very closely with the Zoro Merchandising team by supporting their efforts to create an awesome customer experience. We gather product data and ensure data accuracy and consistency across product and product categories. A key initiative for 2018 will be acquiring, loading and normalizing product attribute data for more than a half-a-million items in our product assortment.
The individual chosen will learn about the daily operations of the CA team, including managing item additions, product data & content in our PIM tool. There will also be a high degree of cross-functional interaction as the Operations team regularly engages with groups across our company including ecommerce, customer service, analytics, technical support, product management & IT along with interaction with our supplier community.
The Product Operations intern will be tasked with partnering with the Content Analysts & Merchandising Managers to develop a plan to identify the opportunity and prioritize which items to gather data, set a goal, gather the attribute data, develop and document the process, track the progress and share the plan and updates with the company. At the conclusion of their internship, candidates will be given the opportunity to present their findings to senior leadership at Zoro.

Position Requirements:
Ideal candidates would be individuals with a high-level of interest and aptitude – although not necessarily a mastery of specific business concepts. Skills of value:
- Ability to learn quickly, natural curiosity, a willingness to figure things out, work independently as well as within a team
- Personal accountability, positive attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, a bias toward action
- Ability to build positive relationships with others – communicate clearly with teammates, cross-functional partners and suppliers

- A sense of humor, a fun-loving demeanor, and a good attitude
Preferably, our intern will be entering his or her senior year. Educational backgrounds in business administration, marketing, economics, supply chain, ecommerce, or merchandising are preferred but not required. Basic skills in Excel and PowerPoint are required. SQL experience is preferred.
