Who We’re Looking For
For the Strategic Finance MBA Intern position, we’re looking for someone who can help provide leverage as both the Finance function and company at large continue to expand. This is a unique time in the Company’s history as we look to launch multiple new disruptive technologies in the months ahead that promise to fundamentally reshape the industry. This position will assist with numerous overarching strategic initiatives in addition to the core responsibilities of forecasting the growth of the business and all associated cash flows. What You’ll Do
- Assist with building and maintaining the financial models necessary to measure our performance and ensure there are no surprises in regard to the financial health of the company
- Develop and update key performance indicators (“KPI”) for both the company at large as well as other functional areas to track progress towards our financial goals
- Create and manage project-related financial models and what-if analyses, as needed
- Collaborate on executive and board presentations
- Manage and conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, as needed
- Evaluate various pricing models for new and existing products
- Forecasting contract values and associated cash flows
- Contribute to fundraising efforts
General Experience Guidelines
The ideal candidate will have experience or a demonstrated interest in finance and strategy, with a proven ability to think critically and work cross-functionally:
- While our strong preference is for MBA candidates, high-performing undergraduate candidates may be considered
- Academic or professional experience building and maintaining financial and forecast models as well as performing financial analysis
- High degree of comfort and familiarity with Excel
- Detail oriented and committed to 100% accuracy of all information
- Ability to work independently and proactively anticipate next steps
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Demonstrated ability using data to influence decision making
- Personality profile to fit into a high-growth, entrepreneurial culture that requires teamwork and significant interaction with employees at all levels and across functions
