What To Expect:
- In the Accounting function, we offer Summer Internships for students majoring in Accounting, Finance and other related majors. This internship will give you the opportunity to apply the analytical and business knowledge you have gained in school in a real world setting.
- As a Home Chef intern, your projects will have measurable goals and objectives which are achievable during your tenure. The internship experience is further enriched through social and professional networking opportunities which include interaction with senior management and team members from across business units and functions.
- The internship is located in our corporate office in the iconic Wrigley Building on Michigan Ave in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
Responsibilities:
- Play an active role on the Accounting and Finance team
- Assist in the preparation of the financial statements through the month end close process
- Assist with the weekly analysis and reconciliation of working capital balance sheet accounts
- Cross collaborate with Corporate Finance and Operations to support various business initiatives
- Travel to production facility to review periodic inventory counting procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate completion of assigned projects
- Understand current accounting policies and procedures and drive improvements where possible
- Actively participate in company-wide internship projects, training and programs
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
- Available for an 8-10 week full-time, paid internship in Summer 2018
- Have completed or plan to complete Accounting Courses up to and including Intermediate Accounting (or equivalent)
- Experience utilizing Excel for project work
- Experience with NetSuite Accounting Software is a plus
