**We are currently looking for interns for our Fall (Sep -Dec) & Winter (Jan -Apr) sessions. Each intern can expect to work 16 hrs/week during the 12 week program**

Successful Interns of our Content Management and Design (CMDS) Team should have a passion for technology, collaboration, and creative problem solving. The CMDS Intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior leadership.
The CMDS Internship is a 12-week program that requires around 16 hours of work each week. Our program focuses on providing individuals with an opportunity to experience working in a corporate software development environment. CMDS Interns will gain exposure to a wide range of activities and experiences useful for future potential careers in information technology, computer systems, accounting and financial industries. Specific project work will vary depending upon the time of year and the most critical needs of Corptax at the time of the internship program.
Areas of focus:
Technology:
- Software Coding
- Researching corporate tax compliance legislation for specific state jurisdictions, and writing, testing and publishing software code (using Corptax proprietary software tools) incorporating the findings.
- Quality Assurance
- Performing quality assurance testing on Corptax's tax compliance software ensuring accurate results and updating software code as appropriate.
- Microsoft Office Applications
- Creating, entering data, and testing Microsoft Office Excel data entry templates used to automate state specific corporate tax return preparation for Corptax clients.
Professional:
- Project Management
- Capturing meeting notes, updating status reports and assisting with managing project engagements.
- Customer Meetings
- Participating in virtual meetings with Corptax customers gaining an understanding of how to conduct oneself in a vendor to customer relationship setting.
Responsibilities:
- Personal Accountability
- Ensuring appropriate level of professionalism and ability to handle multiple tasks required in order to get a project completed.
- Teaming Responsibilities:
- Working well with fellow interns and other teams within Corptax.
- Focusing on the success of other interns in addition to the success of yourself
- Individual Responsibilities:
- Being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks.
- Performing additional tasks as necessary.
- End of Program Presentation
- Prepare a 3-5 minute group video presentation on:
- An overview of the program, learnings during the program, key insights gained, and any advice for future interns.
Required Education and Experience
- Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Management major or similar focus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) and other software packages (e.g. C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, Python, CSS, SQL, etc.).
- Experience managing project(s) to successful completion.
- Demonstrable initiative and drive for success.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in teams
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
