Department OverviewWHAT DO WE DO?
Want to design products that actually matter?
At Motorola Solutions, we help people be their best in moments that matter. We help firefighters see into burning buildings and police officers see around street corners. We are making public safety smarter by envisioning new technology for the future.
The UX research team at Motorola Solutions is at the forefront of driving this innovation. We believe that immersing ourselves in the user’s world is the best way to uncover the right problems for technology to solve. We spend hours riding along with police officers in their patrol cars and take firefighter training to experience their challenges first-hand. Our customers can’t always tell us what they need, but if we watch them closely they’ll show us.
Our research team is tasked with understanding user workflows, challenges and needs. We uncover the right insights, synthesize them into actionable opportunities so that our designers and engineers can envision future technology that creates meaningful outcomes for our customers. We work closely with Interaction Designers, Visual Designers, Industrial Designers, Human Factors Experts and development teams to ensure the best end-to-end solutions.
