Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, troubleshooting, and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in technology, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop small features or modules for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation for code, features, and processes.
  • Document lessons learned, challenges encountered, and solutions implemented.
  • Learn and apply new programming languages, frameworks, or tools as required by the project.
  • Help maintain IT documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Participate in training sessions, workshops, and technical discussions.
  • Engage in agile methodologies by contributing to sprint reviews and retrospectives.
  • Assist with integration testing and troubleshooting issues reported by users under the guidance of senior team members
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the IT team.

Desired Credentials:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, cloud services, and cybersecurity best practices is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

JSSI Interns are eligible for company paid housing, including a meal plan which covers breakfast and dinner during the term of the internship. The hourly pay rate for our Internship Program is $23.00 or $24.00 if you do not require housing for the duration of your internship.
