Summary:
The IT SAP & Finance Applications Analyst will end-user support and training within the SAP Software and other Finance Application Software viz., Zuora, and Blackline in the areas of Accounting and Finance. Employees in this role are responsible for the specification configuration and creation of Master Data in SAP and other related Finance systems, enhancements, and proactive identification of opportunities to use SAP functionality to better support business processes. Successful candidates will work with project managers, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Business Application Managers, and information management and business representatives to keep abreast of operational issues and initiatives with a potential SAP impact. Must be able to work either Central or Eastern time.
Responsibilities:
- Applies Analytical thinking along with a solid understanding of business fundamentals, to assist in creating suitable solutions to business challenges and requirements.
- Provide functional and technical support for existing and future implementations of SAP FICO and related modules to business users and peers.
- Prepare and understand functional specifications for custom objects and guide ABAP consultants in the development of RICEF objects.
- Executes system unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing (builds test cases, performs tests, suggests changes to configuration or processes based on results, and resolves errors)
- Identify benefits, risks, and alternatives in proposed system design solutions and their impact on the integration with other systems and SAP modules.
- Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own work independently with little to no supervision. And performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. solves complex problems and identifies innovative solutions.
- Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Provides formalized, continuing work direction and leadership to assigned team(s), to ensure timely and effective project execution.
- Builds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in SAP ECC 6.0 or S4 HANA
- Strong functional knowledge of the system and understanding of accounting, finance, and Revenue accounting concepts.
- Ability to understand and adhere to DFIN Internal control framework and workflow approval policies.
- Hands-on experience configuring and testing SAP Finance and Controlling which includes but is not limited to GL, AP, AR, Banking, Asset, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, etc.,
- Working knowledge of FI with integration modules such as CO, PS, MM, SD, and Investment Management
- Proficient in designing and developing user training documentation, test plan, and test script development and execution.
- Working Knowledge of MS Office tools
- Bachelor's Degree and Equivalent Experience in IT, Accounting or Business
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working virtually and independently with minimum supervision.
- Experience with one or more applications namely Zuora, Blackline, & Concur.
- Experience in Analyzing SQL Queries & Syntax and writing SQL queries.
- Participated in any Full Life-cycle implementation or upgrade projects of SAP and/or supported the business users with Go-Live issues and troubleshooting, preparing test cases, and executing.
