We are seeking a skilled Lead Back End Python Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of talented developers, leads, and architects who will provide guidance as you expand your skills and tackle complex problems for our clients.

Information Security Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
• Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
• Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Role and Responsibilities

• Partner with developers, leads, and architects to solve problems and deliver high-quality work for our clients 
• Write clean, tested, reusable, and efficient code 
• Stay up to date on industry trends and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our tech stack 
• Continuously learn and apply new technologies to support client projects
• Work collaboratively with a team in an Agile environment 
• Lead from the front, guiding development teams (including non-developers) to the completion of successful projects 
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of our talent pool 

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional programming experience 
• 5+ years of experience with Python, focusing on web and API development 
• Strong hands-on experience with designing, developing, and consuming APIs 
• Experience with JavaScript (React preferred) 
• Familiarity with Agile development processes, coding standards, and version control systems 
• Experience in scalable website and web application development 
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly 
• Cloud platform experience, especially with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), a plus 
• The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, be a bootcamp grad, or be self-taught with practical experience
