Job Description

The AML Investigations Analyst will assist the Compliance Team, with performing the daily tasks that are necessary to achieve the objectives of the Company’s BSA/AML Compliance Program, and associated Policies and Procedures.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Investigating all flagged AML system generated alerts
  • The accurate completion of Suspicious Activity Reports
  • Review and file Currency Transaction Reports accurately with FinCEN
  • Make recommendations for further action related to customers believed to exceed Company’s risk tolerance
  • Use emerging trends to help design transaction monitoring scenarios and present them to management for implementation
  • Assist with the creation of investigative processes that increase department efficiencies
  • Respond to all law enforcement requests (subpoena and 314a), as well, as assisting BSA Officer with law enforcement communication
  • Help provide training to all employees and external representatives of Company
  • Assist in preparation for all third party reviews and government examinations
  • Help design technological tools to assist with investigations

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 1-3 years of investigative experience
  • AML-related certification (e.g., CAMS, CFCS)
  • Understanding of OFAC, BSA/AML, and USA PATRIOT Act & risk management principles
  • Prior experience working at a Bank or other financial institution
  • Basic foundational knowledge regarding Bitcoin and Blockchain technologies
  • Be a good communicator
  • Excited to challenge status quo of processes and ready to bring new ideas to the process
  • Ability to switch tasks frequently and prioritize tasks
