What we’re looking for
We seek an experienced Legal Counsel to lead contracts review for all firm contracts, including Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work. Additionally, counsel will provide guidance on writing of new employment contracts.
What You'll do
- Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide variety of commercial agreements.
- Review legal terms of all agreements independently, and in coordination with necessary areas of the firm.
- Monitor and advise business area leads of contractual rights and obligations as they pertain to their specific agreements.
- Track legal agreement provisions and expirations as needed.
Skills/Qualifications
- D. degree from an ABA accredited law school and membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.
- 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Experience working for a company in the financial services industry preferred.
- Experience with vendor contract review and negotiation.
- Experience with employment contract writing and review.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Excellent writing ability.
- Superior organization, decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, changing environment and to balance multiple, concurrent projects.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and providing direction and leadership under tight deadlines.
