Job Summary
Under general supervision, assists management, attorneys and other paralegals by providing legal support services, which may include the day-to-day coordination of legal-related activities including filings, completion of forms, research, annual reporting, corporate minutes and licensing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assists in performing legal research.
2. Assists in the review and organization of legal documents and may act as administrator for document control on due diligence and other matters. May oversee document intake or management.
3. Assists with the maintenance of legal, compliance, corporate governance and other corporate/business records and databases.
4. May assist with preparing and routing certifications, written consents and materials for various insurance and non-insurance board matters.
5. May assist with preparing and filing documentation related to the insurance company licenses in various states including preparation of UCAA documentation and related paperwork.
6. May assist with preparing and filing of documentation related to state authorization for legal entities including qualification and withdrawal paperwork.
7. May assist in tracking and processing of annual report filings for insurance and noninsurance entities in various states.
8. May work with internal and external resources on projects, including researching, gathering information from others and preparing responses, reports, and presentations.
9. Escalates issues requiring attorney involvement as required.
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
1. Knowledge of law office operations.
2. Knowledge and application of legal research tools as well as overall general knowledge of civil procedure and substantive law of jurisdiction.
3. Strong internal/external customer interactive skills.
4. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and other business related software systems.
5. Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
6. Solid written and verbal communication skills including professional phone etiquette and the ability to draft complex written correspondence.
7. Acts with a sense of urgency to advance priorities of the organization.
8. Ability to work in a team environment.
Education & Experience
1. Associate's degree and/or completion of an accredited paralegal program or equivalent experience.
2. Typically a minimum of two years experience in a related corporate legal environment.
