Job Description

DigitalMint is looking for a detail-oriented Commercial Credit Analyst to lead our merchant/location partner underwriting process. In this role, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of underwriting for new and current DigitalMint partners, including credit reviews, banking information gathering, and internal documentation updates. Our ideal candidate has experience in the financial services industry in an underwriting or commercial lending role.

What You’ll Do

• Review location partner applications for compliance using DigitialMint internal and external policies
• Analyze bank statements and financial statements to assess location partner credit risk
• Carry out initial and ongoing credit reviews for new and existing location partners
• Work closely with the Sales and Account Management teams to gather additional location partner information and communicate findings
• Assist underwriting team with bank partner-related task and market expansion
• Update DigitalMint’s internal documentation regarding process updates, industry trends, and credit policies
• Stay current on convenience store and financial service center industry trends to best support our location partners
• Act as the first line of defense against potential location partner fraud

What We’re Looking For

• 1-2 years of credit analysis experience, related to financial services underwriting or commercial lending preferred
• Working knowledge of financial statements and financial statement analysis
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AML/KYC requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act
• Experience in preparing credit approval packages is a plus.
• Proven track record of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across various platforms. Extremely detail-oriented!
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical, independent thinking, with the ability to utilize resources at hand to arrive at the answer, and ask meaningful questions
• Strong collaboration skills to coordinate data gathering and information across departments
