WHAT YOU'LL DO
Braze is looking for an exceptional Senior Corporate Counsel in our San Francisco office to join our dynamic and rapidly growing legal team, reporting to the Vice President, Legal.
- Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts, including master subscription agreements and data processing addenda, for a software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) company.
- Work on a variety of other legal issues, including privacy, employment, and intellectual property matters.
- Partner with revenue recognition and the deal desk team to ensure agreements are consistent with internal policies and processes, and provide training on such policies and processes.
- This role will support our San Francisco office, however there is flexibility to work remotely provided that you are based in the Bay area and able to come into the office on a regular basis to partner with internal stakeholders on the Sales team.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5 years of professional experience
- 2-3 years of contract negotiation and/or commercial law experience required
- Tech industry and/or in-house experience supporting sales teams preferred required
- Data privacy knowledge and experience preferred
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills
- Must be able to work independently and be a self-motivated team player
- Sound judgment to interpret complicated matters and communicate effectively with key stakeholders towards resolution
- Law degree and authorized to practice law in California
- Located in PST or Central time zone for time zone cover purposes
