What You'll Bring
Juris Doctor (JD) degree required and at least 0-3 years of experience as an attorney, preferably in a financial or regulatory environment with a strong transactional history.
Strong work ethic with the demonstrated ability to manage and turn-around a significant and diverse work flow in an effective and timely manner
Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills (logic, problem solving, issue spotting, and decision making).
Ability to build and foster strong relationships with, and relate well to, peers, staff, and management of all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently, yet exhibit sound judgment in seeking guidance and direction from senior attorneys and escalating issues.
Impact You'll Make
Provide legal services and guidance to assigned TransUnion business units, to help ensure that business practices, policies and dealings meet legal, regulatory, contractual and business requirements, including with regard to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
Interpret, negotiate, and draft complex contracts, help to structure business deals, and provide counsel to management.
Responsible for anticipating and protecting the company against legal risks, advising stakeholders on business risks, and complying with internal policies.
Provide advice to stakeholders, including the Chief Legal Officer, regarding changes in the law, contracts, or other legal issues that may involve the company’s short or long-term strategic operations.
This position may require occasional travel.
